The unknown female body that isn't a male body. Still the male body is considered the norm in relation to research and medicine. As early as 1899, Aletta Jacobs wrote a study on ‘women’, the female body, how it is build, its organs and concluded that little is known about the female body. What did Aletta know then, and what do we know now a century later? Doctor Hedwig Vos, cardiologists Angela Maas, sex expert Rosa Joosten and vlogger Linda de Munck, who videos popular sex education vlogs, join Step in search for the answers. Aletta Jacobs’ biographer Mineke Bosch, contextualizes and explains Jacobs’ life and work.
