Description
Two interactive workshops of 30 minutes each on the possible responses to sea-level rise in coastal areas. The IPCC (2019) describes six possible responses to sea-level rise in coastal areas, ranging from defending, retreating to adapting. The first workshop explored the pros, cons and interdependent challenges related to defend-, retreat-, and adapt-based responses to sea-level rise. The second workshop focussed on exploring the promising co-benefits of defend-, retreat-, or adapt-responses, and tried to conclude what response fits best to what kind of situation.
