Description
Our planetary climate reached new and unknown territory over 2023-2024: not only are there now >8 billion humans they are heading towards 2.5 to 6 degrees Celsius global warming this century (vs. pre-industrial levels) and over 2023-2024 humans created record global CO2 emissions and temperatures on land and in the seas and oceans, with record acidification and rise in sea level, and pollution, heatwaves, natural fires, storms, rain, drought, air travel, meat consumption, fuel use, refugees - and one of the fastest and most widespread extinction of animals and plant species in the history of the planet. Meanwhile most Dutch consciously voted and acted and consumed in ways that severely worsen these outcomes at the expense of all other species and future (human) generations. A story about human nature.
